MADICO PV Backsheets PROTEKT TFB/PROTEKT TFB HD:

For Amorphous Silicon And Other Thin Film Solar Panels

MADICO Backsheets: PROTEKT TFB

Protekt Technology is a multi-layered laminate developed to construct a Leaner & Greener™ photovoltaic backsheet, which produces dramatically less unit mass and adheres to a lean manufacturing process. Protekt TFB uses a high performance film cast in a special process that when applied to the base Dielectric Bonding layers of PET/EVA results in a laminate with excellent stability characteristics for vacuum laminating processes and outdoor use. The new Protekt TFB uses a layer of Aluminum Foil which provides optimal barrier properties. The laminate is also available in custom colored EVA.

Advantages of Protekt TFB
• Optimal barrier properties
• No supply constraints
• Maximum bond strength to encapsulant
• Leaner & GreenerTM
• Ideal for thin film technologies

MADICO Backsheets: PROTEKT TFB-HD

Protekt Technology is a multi-layered laminate developed to construct a Leaner & Greener™ photovoltaic backsheet, which produces dramatically less unit mass and adheres to a lean manufacturing process. Protekt TFB HD uses a high performance film cast in a special process that, when applied to the base Dielectric Bonding layers of PET/EVA, results in a laminate with excellent stability characteristics for vacuum laminating processes and outdoor use. The new Protekt TFB HD uses a layer of Aluminum Foil which provides optimal barrier properties. The “HD” version uses thicker PET and meets IEC 60664 1000 VDC. The laminate is also available in custom colored EVA.
